Non-Profit Groups

One of the most heartfelt reasons to support the Kings staying in Sacramento is the support given to non-profit groups by the Maloofs. Did you know that:

Maloof Sports & Entertainment has donated more than $17 million to charities in 10 years of Maloof family ownership.

We would like to give a voice to any non-profit groups or individuals who have benefited by the Kings. Please submit articles, send contact info etc. We should have a blog set up in the near future as well. Thank you.

Nick Monacelli wrote an excellent report about the effects on Non-Profit groups if the Kings left Sacramento. He quotes Kevin Johnson describing the Maloofs as being "committed to the community," which they have clearly demonstrated by commiting "$19 million since they've been here to over 100 organizations."

What was truely powerful about the article was seeing some of the faces from some of the organizations the Maloofs have supported. Nick shows a youth basketball program that got its start from a Maloof grant and will not make it in the future without continued support.

Please take the time and watch or read Nick's report. Thank you Nick for your concern! and for News10 to support these types of issues that effect real people, real organizations and real consequences of a Kings potential move.
